Well we went into this match needing a win, and half expecting to win as they are bottom of the league and have only picked up 3 points all season.
The game started slowly but after a few mins portrane started to exert a dominance on the game, we struggled to find space, they passed it around us and after a while and hitting the crossbar twice, they went 1-0 up.
we were largely outplayed the rest of the half and got to half time at 1-0. We started the second half brighter but portrane again through slicker passing found a breakthrough to go 2-0 up. We eventually found a responce through coxy to go 2-1,
There was a bit of a fight in the middle of the game and in it all was kicking off a bit, Colm decided to take froggy off because he thought froggy was playing a big part in the agro when in fact froggy had only be keeping players apart and keeping the peace.
A coin was tossed to decided weather myself or Con would go on, that being the fairest way supposedly, i won the toss but going on was a bit hollow knowing i wasnt being put on because i was the better man but that a coin toss had told me so.
No sooner had i joined the pitch we began to strain under the loss of froggy and we started to concede, a 3rd 4th and 5th went in and when the 5th went in our goalkeeper Juan took off his gloves, walked to his car and drove off, with nearly 10 minutes left.
The Oppositions sideline laughing at us, we called the match and headed home. 5-1 loss, disgraceful all round, we may be lucky to survive in this division
